Jaana Tähtinen is Professor of Marketing at the Turku School of Economics at the University of Turku, Pori Campus, Finland. Before returning back to her alma mater TSE, Jaana was affiliated with the University of Oulu as professor.
Prior to entering the academia, Jaana worked in tourism business; as director in the Science Center Tietomaa, located in the premises of an old leather factory in Oulu. In addition, she has worked as a tourist guide. During her free time, Jaana serves as vice-chair of the Association Committee of the Finnish Cultural Foundation and as secretary of the Pori Association of University Women.
Jaana’s research background is in business-to-business marketing and branding, and her current research interests lie in dynamics and emotions of business relationships and management in business nets and networks. She is one of the founders of the biannual Nordic Workshop on Relationship Dynamics (NoRD) and recently organized its 9th gathering at Ahlström Manor in Pori.
She has been published in, amongst others, the European Journal of Marketing, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Business & Industrial Marketing, Journal of Marketing Communications, Journal of Service Management, and Marketing Theory. Jaana is Associate Editor of Scandinavian Journal of Management and serves on the editorial boards of four journals, including Industrial Marketing Management.
