Dr. Linde Egberts has a background in heritage studies and works as a researcher on projects and publications regarding heritage, regional identity, landscape and spatial transformations. She obtained her doctoral degree on a dissertation about the role of heritage in regional identity in Europe in 2015, that is published with Routledge in 2016. Recently she focused on audience engagement in international heritage projects and uses of the past in European identity construction.
She is a postdoctoral researcher at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Netherlands, and currently represents research institute CLUE+ in the Interreg project HERICOAST (2016-2020), in which she focuses on the future of heritage and tourism in European coastal landscapes. Linde Egberts is also working as guest researcher at the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment at TU-Delft in the Netherlands.
Linde Egberts co-organised the HTHIC2015 conference in Amsterdam and co-chaired the HTHIC2015 Scientific Conference Board.
