Conference Fees

Regular Attendees

Early bird conference fee (until 1 August 2017) €390 (excl. 21% VAT) for a full event pass including the welcome reception, coffee & networking breaks, conference dinner and special sessions on location.

Late registration fee €490 (excl. 21% VAT) for a full event pass including the welcome reception, coffee & networking breaks, conference dinner and special sessions on location.

Members of Partner Organisations

Students

€150 (excl. 21% VAT) for a full event pass including the welcome reception, coffee & networking breaks, conference dinner and special sessions on location. This rate applies to full time Bachelor, Master and PhD students not submitting and presenting a scientific paper or research note and require a certificate from their home university.

Accompanying Persons

€150 (excl. 21% VAT) for attending the welcome reception, conference dinner and the special sessions on location. Accompanying persons are kindly asked to register using the Conference Registration Form.

Attendees Suomi Finland 100 Keynotes

Access to the Suomi Finland 100 keynotes of Anna Sivula (28 September) and Markku Wilenius (29 September) is free of charge. You are kindly asked to register using the Conference Registration Form. Choose “Attendee free SF100 keynotes” and inform us which keynote you wish to attend.

Conference registration must be done in online writing, preferably by using the Conference Registration Form provided in this website.

Conference delegates and accompanying persons are kindly asked to indicate whether they will attend the welcome reception and/or the conference dinner when registering using the Conference Registration Form in this website.

Conference fees quoted on the webpage https://heritagetourismhospitality.org/register/ are in Euro (EUR). Payment will be made in Euro. Any credit card fees and surcharges are the responsibility of the registrant. Only PayPal and credit card payments via PayPal will be accepted for online registration (you might want to read How PayPal works). Registrations are not valid until payment has been received.

Authors and co-authors presenting a scientific paper or research note and presenters of a destination & industry case study have to register individually for the conference by 1 August 2017 in order to have their presentation scheduled at the conference. They pay the early bird conference fee of €390 (excl. 21% VAT) or, if they are a member of a partner organisation, €290 (excl. 21% VAT).

A payment statement will be sent to you by PayPal on behalf of Elgin & Co./Heritage, Tourism and Hospitality, International Conference.  The University of Turku will provide certificates of attendance and certificates of presentation.

Delegates must contact the conference organisation via email address info@heritagetourismhospitality.org no later than 27 August 2017, to cancel their registration. For cancellations made by 27 August 2015, the registration fee will be refunded less a €75 cancellation fee. No refunds will be given for cancellations made after 27 August 2017. In the event of cancellation of the conference due to causes beyond the organisers’ control, registration fees will be refunded less €75.

Access to the Suomi Finland 100 keynote speeches of Anna Sivula (28 September) and Markku Wilenius (29 September) is free of charge. Delegates are kindly asked to register and mention which keynote they wish to attend.

The conference organisers have made every effort to ensure the accuracy of the details in this website, but reserve the right to alter or delete items from the program or the services as circumstances require. The conference organisers are not liable for any claims, damages or expenses arising out of cancellations, disruptions, changes or limitations to the programme or services as a result of any circumstances outside of their control including weather occurrences, terrorist events, travel restrictions or biological/health hazards or events.

If for any reason the conference is cancelled or a delegate must cancel their conference registration, the delegate should remember to also cancel the accommodation and travel arrangements as well as optional pre- and post-conference tours. The conference organisers are not responsible for any travel or accommodation expenses incurred due to cancellation of the conference.

Delegates are advised to arrange their own travel insurance to cover medical expenses, cancellations and all other risks.

Delegates are advised to take notice of the information provided by the Government of Finland on visa they may need to travel to Finland.

Pre- and post-conference tours may be organised by a local service provider (tour operator, travel agency or tourist board). These tours are optional, not included in the conference fee and not the responsibility of the conference organisers. The price of a tour should be paid directly to the service provider.

The conference organisers, their officers and employees are not liable for, and the delegate releases them from any claims, damages or expenses whether in respect to personal injury, death, loss or damage to the delegate, partner(s) or accompanying persons.
